Picks

Now, this is an extremely volatile card for betting, but here are my picks.

Vidal vs. Cowan

I’m a big fan of Cowan, but she has a limited path to winning this fight, which is standing and striking with Vidal. Tratora, on the other hand, has good BJJ and youth on her side. Cowan hits hard, but her striking output appears limited. Her fighting style reminds me of Holly Holm for some reason, but yes, she needs to pick up the volume if she wants to win this fight. I’m very surprised by the line movement, but Hailey already beat another talented Brazilian fighter, so she will be confident stepping into the cage against Vidal. Let’s see if Tamires makes significant improvements both standing and on the ground. I think she has an upside in those regards. Pick: Tamires. Method: TBD

Salvador vs. Altamirano

I have no idea who wins this fight. It’s such a close matchup, but process-wise, it has to be Altamirano. He has, as I always say, more ways to win the fight. Vinicius is limited to KO, while Victor can potentially grapple if things are not going his way upright. Salvador doesn’t have this luxury. The only reason why I’m not more confident about Victor is that he allows his opponents to work, which led to two split decisions before he finished Lacerda. I don’t know. Split either way if it goes to a decision? Possible. I’m going to lean Altamirano. Pick: Altamirano. Method: TBD ITD

Torres vs. Ogden

Wow. There is a ton of action coming in on Trey. Good. Another reason for me to bet on Torres. Younger, faster hard puncher against a very good opponent. I like Trey, I think he is underrated, and if you took action on him early, I don’t think it’s a bad bet. But close to pick’em odds on Torres are enticing. I will be betting on Torres this, and he will be my pick to win this fight. Pick: Torres ITD

CJ Vergara vs. Daniel Da Silva

I’m a big fan of CJ, and I think is going to win this fight ITD. I will be betting him ITD, and he is my pick to beat DDS. Pick: CJ ITD
