Silva vs. Nam

Silva’s moneyline continues to get pounded, so if you took action on him early, congrats. Silva is younger by almost seven years, which is statistically significant. Younger fighters win at a high clip vis-a-vis their older opponents. Silva also has more ways to win a fight. Nam’s win condition is limited to an early KO since he can’t put a pace or volume to trouble Silva. Now the question is if Silva can finish Nam. Tyson has only been finished twice in his career. The last time he was finished was ten years ago, so he is very durable. I think Silva can find a finish in later rounds. Pick: Silva to win inside the distance.

Gravely vs. Henry

Somewhat similar matchup to the first fight. Another younger fighter vs. the vet. One thing I’m sure of is that Gravely will fight for money. His ability to chain wrestle speaks for itself, plus he hits harder. Henry is a little bit more technical in the standup and has shown he can deal with pressure vs. Barcelos. What he has also shown is that he can be outgrappled and outwrestled. It’s just not a good look for Henry. It’s a close fight, but to me, it boils down to one question I always ask myself. Who has more ways to win the fight? It has to be Gravely. Can he finish Henry? Victor has never been finished. Maybe that’s why we’re getting Tony ITD at +500. I’m tempted. I want to see his KO in Rounds 2,3 on FanDuel. Pick: Gravely, Method: TBD.
